the purple chicken: The purple chicken is named in honor of my mom Peggy, who after a stroke had trouble identifying names of certain things. One day when attempting to name birds in the yard, a bright red cardinal was in view, and she was asked "what kind of bird is that?" She confidently replied "purple chicken!" And it's been a long running joke ever since! It also means to me that an item that we see can be one thing to one person and one to another!!! It's all in our perspective! Hence, every "common" find at the shop, can be your very own purple chicken!
